BIRMINGHAM CITY: WOOD WANTS TO STAY

Chris Wood, whose loan deal from West Bromich Albion ended yesterday, says he would like to extend his stay with Championship side Birmingham.

The 19 year old scored eight goals in eleven appearances for the Blues, including a goal in their Europa League clash with Nacional in August.

"I would love to be here for longer, but it's down to the two clubs now for them to decide what's best for them and what's best for my future." Wood said following Birmingham's victory over Nottingham Forest at the weekend, in which he scored twice.

Wood is currently well down the pecking order at the Hawthorns and spent two spells on loan last season, with Brighton and Barnsley.
