Andy Holdsworth has moved to Guiseley from Alfreton Town in search of consistent first team football.
The midfielder had a chance to remain at North Street but chairman Wayne Bradley concedes that the Blue Square North side offered the 27 year old a better deal.
"He has gone and got himself a contract with Guiseley. We did offer him a contract, but unfortunately it was not attractive enough and he has chosen a club far closer to his home."
"We shouldn't feel bitter, but if anybody wants to shoot anybody, then it is me. I am the one maintaining we have got a cap on wages." He continued.
Holdsworth signed for Alfreton on transfer deadline day after his Morecambe contract had expired.
