WEST HAM: LANSBURY DISCUSSES IDEA OF GUNNERS EXIT

Henri Lansbury has revealed he would not be against the idea of leaving Arsenal on a permanent deal if it meant he would see first team action on a consistent basis.

The youngster has been at Arsenal since he was nine years old yet has featured just a handful of times for the Gunners' first team. He has enjoyed spells out on loan with Scunthorpe, Watford, Norwich and currently West Ham where he has experienced the first team action he so craves.

Lansbury spoke of the discussion he had had with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and his frustration at not featuring for the Premier League side.

"Wenger said I wouldn't play that much football [this season] and I'm not the type to sit around and get 10 minutes here and there. I asked about going on loan and got the move to West Ham. He talks how he rates me but obviously he's not playing me. I need to be playing and West Ham have me a chance so I wanted to take it."

The midfielder is currently on a season long loan with the Hammers.
