The New Saints' Ian Williams has revealed that the European Club Association [ECA] will be increasing the payments to Welsh clubs participating in European competitions.
After a two day event in Geneva, Williams was told that clubs who feature in the UEFA Champions League and/or the Europa League can expect a 15% increase in revenue.
"It looks likely that there will be an increase in solidarity payments for clubs competing in the qualification phase of both competitions from the start of next season, which can only be good news for Welsh clubs." Williams said.
The move comes as the ECA are looking to achieve equality between all countries and football associations competing in European games.
