The 20 year old was on loan with Rovers but sustained an injury during the victory over Wycombe at the weekend resulting in him having to return to the Premier League club for treatment.
"Ryan has had a scan at Newcastle. We're just waiting on the results of that and it doesn't look great, it looks as though he's out for the duration of his loan. But as soon as he's fit and ready I'd love to take him back," Parry said.
