PLYMOUTH ARGYLE: PILGRIMS & SOUTHEND CHARGED

Plymouth Argyle and Southend United have been charged by the Football Association with failing to control their players during their fixture on September 17th.

A confrontation ensued on the pitch after the dismissal of Pilgrims skipper, and now manager, Carl Fletcher for violent conduct. After being shown red Fletcher grabbed Southend midfielder Michael Timlin by the throat, sparking a 'twenty man brawl'.

Both clubs have a 23 September deadline of 4pm to respond to the charge.
