The 28 year old has made three appearances for the Pilgrims in the first month of his loan deal, but new manager Carl Fletcher has persuaded the Gills to allow the centre back to remain at Home Park until early November.
"He's a good solid defender and he's done well. He has settled in well with the lads and I think he's enjoying playing here. It was really good to see him get through a full game on Saturday," Fletcher said.
