LEICESTER CITY: NEW CONTRACT FOR BAMBA

Leicester City defender Sol Bamba has extended his contract until 2014.

The 26 year old signed for the Foxes in January this year and has been an ever present in the league this season.

Manager Sven Goran Eriksson was delighted to have secured a long term deal for the Ivory Coast international, "We are very happy of course with the news that Sol will be with us until 2014. He is an important player for us and he will continue to be important in the future."

Bamba joined Leicester from Scottish Premier League side Hibernian last season, he spent 3 years at the SPL after signing from Dunfermline in 2008.
