LEEDS UNITED: NEW BOY LOOKING FORWARD TO DEBUT

Leeds United's new signing Mikael Forssell is happy to be back in England and itching to get started at the Yorkshire club.

Speaking to the Whites' official website Forssell touched on his career to date and the fight for a place he's expecting at the Elland Road club.

"I'd had three good years in Germany with Hannover, but I've missed English football and really wanted to come back here. There's big competition for striking places here, but I'm hungry for goals."

"There's some great players here and I want to fight for a place to wear such an historic shirt." The Finnish international continued.

The 30 year old, who penned a deal with Leeds until the end of the season, managed seven goals in 44 appearances for Hannover and will be hoping to make his debut for his new club as they host Crystal Palace at the weekend.
