The pair have both linked up with Blue Square Premier side Kettering Town for a month and Evans is sure they will both benefit from competitive matches.

Dempster has started three games for Crawley this season but struggled for first team action in their promotion winning team last year. Midfielder Smith has also made three starts for Evans' side this season, scoring once.
