HARTLEPOOL FC: HORWOOD MAKES RESERVES RETURN

Evan Horwood will make his return for Hartlepool United in their reserve team fixture against Hull City today.

The left back has been sidelined for the past few weeks with a thigh injury but came through training last week, and will step up his fitness bid this afternoon.

Speaking about the return to action of Horwood and midfielder James Brown, reserve team boss Micky Barron said, "Evan is in need of some match fitness and James is slowly but surely building up his fitness so we just need to keep him going now."

Horwood had been an ever present for the Pools this season but the injury has caused him to miss the previous three matches.
