The 19 year old has a decent record in the Hornets' first team, having notched three goals in five starts but manager Sean Dyche is keen for the youngster to continue his development somewhere he can be guaranteed first team action.
"Matt's one of a number of our talented youngsters who needs time to mature and experiences that allow him to do so. It's a good opportunity to get some first team football under his belt and also to be placed in new and different surroundings."
