The midfielder, who scored in the clash with Nottingham Forest at the weekend, says he believes opponents have underestimated his side this season, and in turn aided their rise to fourth in the table.
"We've got some good players in our team, and some still to come back after injury, and I think we're underestimated. We can go on to do great things, we have a lot of ability and loads of determination, which are key ingredients of a successful side."
Derby ended the previous season in 19th position, a run of five wins so far this season suggests they may not fair so badly this term.
