CRAWLEY TOWN FC: PITTMAN SWITCHES LEAGUE TWO CLUBS

Jon Paul Pittman has switched one league two club for another after joining Crawley Town on loan from Oxford United.

Pittman spent a prolific period with Crawley four years ago, scoring twenty two goals in fifty five starts for the club, a return that prompted Wycombe Wanderers to fork out a five figure sum for the striker in 2009.

It is understood that Pittman has been brought in as cover for the outgoing Wes Thomas who last week joined League One side Bournemouth. Speaking to the club's official site manager Steve Evans was glad to have the pacey striker back in the squad.

"The lad is lightning quick, can score a goal and knows exactly what we are about. I spoke with Chris Wilder at Oxford United and I thank him for the way we have proceeded with this."

The 24 year old has made five league appearances for the U's this season, all off the bench.
