Meace becomes the third signing for 'Boro this week following on from the additions of Ashley Woodhouse from Stalybridge Celtic and Paul Casey.
20 year old Meace started his career as a youngster at Premier League Wigan Athletic but was released by boss Roberto Martinez last year.
