CHIPPENHAM TOWN FC: SNODDY TAKES A BACKSEAT

Chippenham Town goalkeeper Chris Snoddy has taken the unusual decision to take a break from first team football.

The 25 year old appears to be struggling with performing week in week out in the Evo Stik Southern League, and Chippenham manager Adie Mings is happy for him to take a step back to reassess his future.

"Football's a great release but there are other things that are more important and sometimes, you've got to put those first. Chris has always been great for me, he's got a young family and a lovely wife and I was more than happy for him to put his personal life first and take a step away."

Mings has adequate cover for the outgoing Snoddy in the form of Will Puddy a summer signing from Swindon Supermarine.
