As reported earlier in the week Chesterfield have finalised a deal to bring Swindon Town striker Leon Clarke to the B2net Stadium.
The 26 year old only signed with Swindon at the end of August but after a public bust up with manager Paolo Di Canio he was deemed surplus to requirements at the County Ground and offered out on loan.
Clarke, who played under Chesterfield boss John Sheridan at Oldham Athletic, will link up with the League One club for three months.
In an interview with the club's official website, Swindon Town chairman Jeremy Wray said he hoped Clarke would fulfil his promise with Chesterfield, "It goes without saying that the club remains fully confident in Leon's footballing ability, he remains a Swindon player although we obviously wish him every success in his time at Chesterfield."
