The Blackpool boss made an approach for the forward during the transfer window but nothing came of it. However he has revealed the club are still looking to do a deal for the 20 year old.
"I don't like talking about other people's payers but my chairman has been talking to them constantly, though nothing has materialised yet."
Birmingham City are another club also thought to be interested in the player.
