Manager Lee Bradbury has expressed an interest in the former Plymouth Argyle defender who is currently on trial with the Cherries.
"I liked what I saw in the game. He's quick and powerful and a good defender and there are not many who are going to run by him. He's an out and out defender which I like about him."
Zubar requested the cancellation of his Argyle contract last month after spending a year with the Pilgrims, he is now a free agent.
The Cherries also have Will Spetch training with them at the moment. He is a young left back currently with Poole Town.
